Remembering the `90s
Wow, doesn’t this bring back memories?
Ahh, what a great show that was. Many of life’s greatest lessons were displayed for all to see after school (and now, before school)
Blogging has come to a halt
Not as if it ever was churning at full pace.
I still don’t find everyday occurrences interesting enough to blog about. Since my last post on here I’ve switched my work schedule and am now working the day shift. That is 9am to 5pm like a normal person. Do I like it? Of course I do. My body is back to feeling normal and not so worn out. Although the first week or so I’ve had to adjust to this new feeling of actually sleeping at night. It certainly isn’t like the past 3 years were I was trying to adjust on a daily basis. I was never able to get a set sleeping pattern down. Some weeks it worked and others I had to change it up. Now I know I need to be in bed by 10pm so be able to wake up early for work.
What else has happened? Ah yes, I went to Las Vegas, NV with my best buds. We all had a blast, got trashed, and spent money. I tried Texas Hold’um Poker for the first time and I really liked it. I had that feeling you get when your inline for a amusement ride and your stomach starts churning and you anticipate the worst. Well at least thats what it felt like to me. As far as I could tell I had only made one mistake and that was on a option. Instead of just checking, I threw my cards in. The dealer was nice and told me I had the option but I figured I had already given up any slight chance of a bluff so I kept them folded. All in all, the trip was great and I couldn’t of asked for a better time.
Highlights of the trip:
- Grey Goose and Redbull/Cranberry Juice
- The Centrifuge Bar @ the MGM Grand
- Poker
One thing is for sure, Vegas is a nice place to visit.
Roadtripping
So, last Thursday after I got off work (8:30am) I hopped on the 15 freeway and began my journey to Seattle. The drive wasn’t terrible like many had said. The only down said was I passed Nor Cal and southern Oregon at night (the snowy scenery would of been pretty cool in the day time). I made pretty good time arriving in Seattle @ 2pm the next day. I was only able to get about 1 1/2 hour of sleep on the trip due to it getting cold quickly.
Saturday night was a busy one. I tagged along with my brother as he went to do a radio show (He DJ’s almost weekly, every Saturday, at C89.5 The Vortex) I got to meet Drew, the guy who runs the Vortex radio show, and his assistant Nami. Both of whom are really cool nice people. My brother did his 1 hour and then we took off to my bro’s next gig. After
driving for about 20 minutes we arrived at the location for Kandyland 3.

Whats going on?
What a year this is going to be for movies.
Well at least the first part of the year. I had seen Smokin Aces a couple weeks ago and like it very much. Before that, I saw Pans Labyrinth and loved it. Really amazing visuals and sounds. We got 300 coming out in a couple more weeks and then after that is Grindhouse. Grindhouse is 2 films, one directed by Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Once upon A Time in Mexico) and one by Quentin Tarantino ( ugh, do I really need to type out his past works??). If you haven’t seen it, here’s that theatrical trailer
Only one more week left.
Next week, I’m taking off and driving to Seattle. I’m going to meet up with my brother and going to Kandyland 3. Don’t know what Kandyland is? Well read about it here
Right after the party, we’re getting on a plan and coming back down to So Cal. Should be a pretty crazy weekend
It’s about 3:48am so It past my lunch time so I’m going to go and have some damn lunch. Too bad Jack in the Crack doesn’t serve Oreo shakes at night ![]()

The colors, OMG THE COLORS
Well I’m trying out different Wordpress themes to see which one I like the best and which lay the site out the best. I would like to sit down and build my own theme but for right now a pre-made theme will do.
Here is a block quote sample
